In Proteus - The Last Survivor we learn the story of what happened to Koli's crew during the 300 years they were searching the galaxy and one part of that long story was their discovery of Kelik Station. Although they really had no clue what they would find, curiosity was a maddening thing. This tentative scene in the book is partly recreated here with Koli flying towards the massive station with no clue what they will find.
I actually started working on this ages ago, then forgot about it for some reason. Just added the finishing touches tonight and thought I would put it out.
